The New York Gazette ^® name dates back nearly three centuries to the first newspaper published in colonial New York. Reviving that legacy in the digital age, George Mentz relaunched the title as NewYorkGazette.com, combining the spirit of early American journalism with today’s multimedia technology and global reach.

It was published by John Campbell, the postmaster of Boston, and printed by Bartholomew Green.  The government in the USA still referneces the Boston Newsletter as the oldest in the country. That makes The Boston NewsLetter  (1704) the oldest in America for the following reasons
